My name is Bert Groeneveld, 51 years old and I'm living in Nijmegen, The Netherlands.
A long time ago, it was 1974, I've played in a pub my first videogame, Pong.
Years later I bought my  first console, the Atari 2600 with the 'wooden' front.
It was great fun playing  Pole Position, Cosmic Arc, Demon Attack and many more.
After some time the homecomputers became very popular, for instance  the Commodore 64, but after I saw some great games running on MSX computers, I decided to buy the JVC HC-7b with a datarecorder.
Games appaered on cartridge, floppy-disc and tape.
The best games were produced by Konami, for example Knightmare, Pinguin Adventure and Nemesis.
My next computer was a MSX-2 , a Philips NMS 8235 with a build-in discdrive.
That was also a very nice computer and again Konami produced the best games in my opinion, for example Metal Gear and The Treasure of Usas.
But also company's like Namco,Taito, Gremlin and HAL produced great games.
For several reasons the MSX system slowly disappaered, but before that happened I boughy me a MSX-2, the Sony Hb-700 with 256 kb ram and a double sided discdrive.

Knightmare (MSX)
